Bone Marrow Broth

The bones contain unique nutrition in the marrow which promotes growth and development. Historical precedents for this recipe exist in most traditional cultures including China and Native America, where children were given bones to suck out the marrow.  One of the components in marrow is the omega-3 fatty acid DHA, which is required for the development of the brain, eyes, and other organs in infants. This broth is also very useful in repairing the digestive tract lining as it makes a healthy "home" for probiotics.

Ingredients:

  • Enough water to cover the bones in a large pot.
