French Onion Soup

Ingredients:

  • 3 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbls. ghee, melted
  • 3 Tbls. garbonzo bean flour
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4- 14oz can of beef broth

Steps:

  • Add the onions and ghee to crockpot. Cover on HIGH for 30-40 minutes until onions begin to brown around edges. Stir thoroughly.  
  • Sprinkle flour, sea salt, and pepper over onions and cook 15 minutes longer on HIGH.
  • Add thyme, bay leaf and broth, stir, cover and cook on LOW for 7-9 hours.
