Onion Rings

Worth the wait!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs sweet onions
  • 1st coat:
  • 4 Tbs. olive oil
  • 2 Tbs. of fermented beverage, like rejuvelac
  • sea salt to taste
  • 2nd coat:
  • 1 cup ground, golden flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup ground almonds
  • 1-2 tsp. paprika

Steps:

  • Slice sweet onions into rings and seperate.
  • Dip each ring into a 2nd coat, then 1st, and again in 2nd coat for a thicker cover.
  • Place on dehydrator trays, not Teflex. 105 degrees for 10-14 hours until crispy.
